In a continuous effort to promote sustainable industrial practices and elevate technical education standards in Sri Lanka, the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) recently served as the proud host venue for a significant national training initiative.
The four-day intensive programme, titled “Good Practices in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Sector,” was successfully conducted at CGTTI’s Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Section. Bringing together key stakeholders from across the vocational education landscape, the workshop concluded with the successful awarding of certificates to all participating professionals.
Key Highlights of the Programme
- National Collaboration for Greener Industry: Organized by the National Ozone Unit (NOU) of the Ministry of Environment, the workshop welcomed approximately 20 trainers and assessors nominated by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
- World-Class Master Instruction: The training sessions were spearheaded by distinguished Master Trainer Mr. Mical Moller, who delivered high-level technical guidance, industry insights, and advanced methodologies.
- Core Curriculum & Practical Focus: Participants underwent rigorous theoretical and practical training centered on critical modern industry needs, including:
- Safe handling and management of refrigerants.
