Requirement
- Age: Between 16 & 22 years
- Education: Passed 06 subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination including Sinhala/Tamil language (Medium of Instruction) and Mathematics in one sitting.

- Bench Fitting Work:
- Engage in hands-on bench fitting work at our basic workshop, honing your skills in precision workmanship.
- Develop accuracy, punctuality, and cleanliness in your work, setting the foundation for disciplined craftsmanship.
- Physical Exercises:
- Start each day with physical exercises, promoting discipline, motivation, and a healthy mindset for the day’s tasks.
- Tool Familiarity:
- Gain familiarity with essential hand tools, power tools, and instruments used in various trades.
- Learn the proper handling and application of files, hand and power hacksaws, chisels, drills, riveting tools, taps, dies, reamers, spanners, hammers, screwdrivers, center punches, and various measuring instruments.
- Hands-On Project:
- Undertake a practical project – the production of a vice – serving as a tangible memento of your achievements during the basic training.
- Apply acquired skills to create a functional and useful tool.

- Fuel systems
- Ignition system
- Cooling systems and its electrically controlled circuitry
- Engine functions and chassis
- Checking, reassembly and testing of engines with chassis mounted electrical components
- Maintenance procedures and its services.
- Testing of units by using modern test instrumentation
Final Year
First 6 Months
- In-plant training in outside workshops
Second 6 Months
- Diagnosis of all types of ignition systems
- Utilization of modern automobile scanners and testing, calibrating instrumentation.
- Maintenance of batteries
- Trouble shooting of electrical circuitry with modern test gears
- Modern automobile electronic systems
- Theory and related theory classes
