The Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) proudly celebrated a significant achievement on June 11, 2025, marking the official receipt of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification, awarded by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) on June 3, 2025.
This milestone recognizes CGTTI’s unwavering commitment to continuous improvement, institutional excellence, and accountability in technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
The celebratory event, held at the CGTTI Auditorium, brought together staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders. Special recognition was extended to:
- Mr. W.A.C. Fernando – for his unwavering dedication and leadership.
- Mr. D.P. Kodikara – for his expert consultancy and strategic direction.
Their efforts were instrumental in achieving this prestigious certification.
Adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the celebration, merit awards were also presented for the Vesak Lantern Competition, held in conjunction with the Vesak festival. These awards recognized the creativity and craftsmanship of CGTTI’s academic sections:
