On July 29, 2024, CGTTI had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation from Keio University, led by Professor Rei Goto, Ph.D. Thanks to Eureka Gunasekara, Director of Akatsuki Japan Center, who facilitated this insightful visit, our guests engaged in meaningful discussions with our Principal, Automobile and Renewable Energy Instructors, and students of the automobile program at CGTTI. The delegation, including top management from leading Japanese automobile companies, explored opportunities for collaboration to advance the automobile sector in Sri Lanka.

During their visit, the delegation toured our state-of-the-art workshops, gaining valuable insights into our practical training and educational initiatives. They were particularly impressed by the hands-on experience and the high level of expertise demonstrated by our instructors and students. The discussions covered potential joint projects, student exchange programs, and shared research initiatives, all aimed at enhancing the quality and scope of automotive education at CGTTI.

Coordinated by Eureka, this visit represents a significant step towards fostering international partnerships and enhancing our automotive education program. We are excited about the potential collaborations and the positive impact they will have on our institution and the broader automotive sector in Sri Lanka. This visit underscores CGTTI’s commitment to excellence and our proactive approach to building a globally competitive educational environment.
