The Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) had the distinct honour of welcoming a high-level delegation from GIZ Myanmar on 4th June 2025, as part of their study visit to Sri Lanka. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) landscape of Sri Lanka and to explore best practices in sustainability and green innovation within the sector.

During the visit, the CGTTI management and staff provided a comprehensive overview of the institute’s training programs, partnerships with industry, and ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into vocational education. The delegation toured key training workshops and engaged in fruitful discussions on shared challenges and opportunities in TVET development.

This visit signifies an important step towards fostering international collaboration and strengthening ties between Sri Lanka and Myanmar in the field of technical education. It also reflects CGTTI’s ongoing commitment to sharing knowledge and driving innovation in the training and development of a skilled workforce.
