Requirement
- Age: Between 16 & 22 years
- Education: Passed in 06 subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination including Sinhala/Tamil language (Medium of Instruction) and Mathematics in one sitting.

Model Training in the Industrial Mechatronics, Workshop Technology, Technical Drawing, Applied Electricity, Applied Electronics, Computer Applications, Pneumatic & Electro-pneumatic Systems, Hydraulic & Electro-Hydraulic Systems, Sensors and Transducers, Programmable Logic Controllers, Drive Control Systems, Microcontroller Systems, Industrial Robotics and CNC systems
Third Year
In plant Training in the Private firms will be provided for the period of 6 months. Trainees on their successfully training to Repair & Maintain Smart Electromechanical Machines as a specified in the Training Standard. On the job Training in the CGTTI related with PLC Hardware and communication, Sensors and Transducers, Advanced Electronics, Modular Production Systems, Solid Works. G Codes.
Final Year
Further Training in Industrial Mechatronic works on CNC Lathe, CNC Milling, Industrial Robotics, ,Drive Control Systems, & maintain & repair in CNC machines in the Institute Workshop In 6 Months.
Revision and Final Evaluation (01 Month)
Theory
Theoretical lessons on workshop science, workshop calculation & technical drawing are conducted one day per week during the course. In addition English language classes are conducted for trainees.
Overview
Industrial Mechatronics Technician” trainees are defined as person who practically attend to repairing and maintaining of Smart Electromechanical Machines (Modern intelligent machines) as specified in the Training Standard. These trainees on their successful completion of training are expected to be able to repair and maintain Smart Electromechanical Machines as specified in the Training Standard.
