In celebration of the sacred Poson Poya festival, the Body Repair and Painting Section of the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) proudly organized a Manioc Dansala — a heartfelt gesture of giving that truly embodied the compassionate essence of Poson.

This special community event was held at the section’s premises and was a joint effort by both students and staff, reflecting a deep sense of collaboration and unity. Together, they prepared and offered boiled manioc to devotees and the local community, creating a meaningful space of connection and gratitude.

The initiative not only celebrated a revered religious occasion but also demonstrated CGTTI’s broader educational mission: fostering humility, service, and social awareness alongside technical mastery. Events like these instill core values in our learners, nurturing well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to society.

Mr.S.C.K. Mahama – Sectional Head of BRP Section Said”

“Poson Poya is a time to reflect on the teachings of compassion, sacrifice, and unity that define our cultural identity. Through this Manioc Dansala, our aim was not only to give, but also to teach our students the importance of empathy and community engagement. I am incredibly proud of the dedication shown by our team—both students and staff—who came together to make this event a success. Let this be a reminder that true education goes beyond textbooks; it lies in the values we nurture and the lives we touch.”

CGTTI extends its appreciation to the entire Body Repair and Painting Section for their sincere efforts. We look forward to seeing more such initiatives that merge technical excellence with social and spiritual values.
