On 29th May 2025, the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) had the honour of hosting a team of Monitoring and Evaluation Consultants from GIZ. The visit, held from 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., focused on evaluating CGTTI’s ongoing English Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes and lab-based training activities.

Key themes reviewed during the session included 21st Century Leadership for TVET, Greening TVET with a focus on Green Competence Development, and Portfolio Management and Curriculum Development. These areas reflect CGTTI’s ongoing efforts to align vocational training with international standards and sustainability goals.

Representing CGTTI were Eng. (Major General) Kalpa Sanjeewa (Director Principal), Mr. W.M.N.P. Gunasekara, Mr. A.A.R.P. Buddhika, Mr. R.J. Kulathunga, Mr. A.G.P. Karunathilaka, and Mr. K.B.G.Yasas Madhusanka. The evaluation was conducted by Mr. Morten Becher from GIZ, whose valuable insights contributed to a productive session.

This collaborative visit marked another important milestone in CGTTI’s mission to deliver future-ready, high-quality technical and vocational education.
